OPPO Find N6 Set to Launch on March 17 in China; Teaser Reveals Colours and Storage Options
OPPO has officially confirmed that its upcoming foldable smartphone, the OPPO Find N6, will launch in China on March 17. The company also released a teaser video showcasing the device’s design, colour variants, and key engineering upgrades expected in the new generation.
The Find N6 is expected to bring improvements in hinge durability, display technology, and productivity features, positioning it as a strong competitor in the premium foldable smartphone segment.
New Hinge Design to Reduce Display Crease
One of the major upgrades OPPO is highlighting is the reduced crease on the foldable display. The Find N6 introduces a new hinge mechanism built with titanium alloy, combined with a memory glass layer integrated into the inner display.
This design aims to distribute physical stress more evenly when the device is folded or unfolded. The memory glass layer helps the screen return to a flatter state after opening, reducing crease visibility — a common concern with foldable smartphones.
Manufacturers like Samsung have worked on improving hinge designs across several generations, but eliminating the crease entirely remains a challenge. OPPO’s latest engineering changes aim to address this issue more effectively.
Stylus Support for Productivity
The OPPO Find N6 will also support a new OPPO AI stylus, enabling writing, sketching, and note-taking on the large internal display.
Stylus support is still relatively uncommon among book-style foldable smartphones, with Samsung’s Galaxy Fold series being one of the few mainstream devices offering the feature. The addition could make the Find N6 more appealing for productivity and creative use.
Colours and Storage Options Confirmed
OPPO’s official pre-orders page reveals that the Find N6 will be available in three colour variants:
- Golden Orange
- Original Titanium
- Deep Black
The device will also be offered in multiple storage configurations:
- 12GB RAM + 256GB storage
- 16GB RAM + 512GB storage
- 16GB RAM + 1TB storage
The top-end variant is expected to include satellite connectivity support.
Expected Specifications
Although OPPO has not yet confirmed the full specifications, leaks from Chinese sources suggest the Find N6 could feature:
- 8.12-inch inner foldable display
- 6.62-inch cover display
- Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor
- Battery close to 6,000mAh with fast charging support
In terms of camera hardware, the phone may include:
- 200MP Samsung HP5 primary sensor
- 50MP ultrawide camera
- 50MP periscope telephoto camera
If these specifications are accurate, the Find N6 could represent a significant upgrade over its predecessor.
Possible Global Availability
At the moment, the OPPO Find N6 has been confirmed only for the Chinese market. However, OPPO’s foldable devices have historically appeared in global markets under the OnePlus brand.
For example, the OnePlus Open, launched in 2023, was essentially a rebranded version of the OPPO Find N3. If OPPO continues the same strategy, the Find N6 or a similar model could eventually launch internationally as a OnePlus device.
In India, OPPO’s most recent foldable release remains the Find N3 Flip, introduced in October 2023.
