Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi 15 5G smartphone in India, starting at ₹14,999. The phone packs a massive 7,000mAh battery and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor. It also sports a 50MP main rear camera and includes a suite of AI-powered features for photo editing and more.

The smartphone is available in three elegant colour options: Frosted White, Midnight Black, and Sandy Purple.
The Redmi 15 5G will go on sale in India starting August 28, and will be available through Mi.com, Mi Home stores, Amazon, and select offline retail outlets.
The Redmi 15 5G features a 6.9-inch FHD+ Adaptive Sync display that can go up to a 144Hz refresh rate in specific scenarios, delivering smooth visuals. The screen has received TÜV Rheinland triple eye comfort certification, ensuring reduced eye strain during prolonged use. Complementing the display, the phone is equipped with a Dolby-certified speaker system, which Xiaomi claims can output up to 200% volume for an immersive audio experience.
The Redmi 15 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM, which can be virtually expanded to 16GB using memory extension technology. The device also offers up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage for faster read/write speeds.
In terms of battery, it packs a robust 7,000mAh unit, supporting 33W wired fast charging and 18W reverse wired charging for powering other devices. Notably, Xiaomi includes the 33W fast charger in the box.
For photography, the Redmi 15 5G features a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary sensor paired with a 2MP auxiliary lens. On the front, it houses an 8MP selfie camera. The device supports a suite of AI-powered photography and editing tools such as AI Erase, AI Sky, AI Beauty, and classic film-style filters, enhancing both creativity and ease of use.
The smartphone runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, built on Android 15, and integrates Google Gemini AI support along with Circle to Search — a gesture-based feature that enables quick contextual search directly from the screen.
