Samsung Electronics has announced the global pre-order launch of its latest Smart Monitor series, the Samsung Smart Monitor M8, combining functionality, entertainment, and elegant design in one versatile screen.
The new M8 boasts Samsung’s signature slim profile, now even sleeker at just 11.4mm thin—approximately three-quarters slimmer than the previous models. It features UHD resolution, comes in a 32-inch display, and includes a removable SlimFit Cam, making it ideal for both work and home entertainment setups.
New Nature-Inspired Colors
Samsung brings the Smart Monitor M8 in four stunning color options inspired by nature:
- Warm White
- Sunset Pink
- Daylight Blue
- Spring Green
“We aspired to create a product capable of matching the lifestyles of all kinds of people and preferences,” said Kyounghoon Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Design Team, Visual Display Business, Samsung Electronics.
“The M8’s color palette composed of four different colors was inspired by the theme ‘Shades of Nature’. Gazing at the clear blue sky on a bright sunny day, recharging in the lush green forest, or finally bathing in the glow of a sunset,” he added.
Entertainment Meets Efficiency
First launched in November 2020, Samsung’s Smart Monitor series was the world’s first line of “do-it-all” screens tailored for modern lifestyles. The M8 monitor continues that legacy by offering built-in access to OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and Apple TV over Wi-Fi — no PC or TV required.
Its Workspace UI enables seamless connection to Windows and Mac PCs, and supports Samsung DeX, Apple AirPlay 2, and Microsoft 365 cloud services. Smartphone content can also be mirrored easily to the monitor.
A Smarter Home and Office
The M8 is also a SmartThings Hub, allowing users to wirelessly connect and control their IoT devices. Through the SmartThings app, users can monitor lights, switches, and power plugs all from the same intuitive control panel.
With a Far Field Voice microphone, users can activate Bixby or Amazon Alexa via voice commands—even when the screen is off—thanks to the Always On Voice function, which displays relevant info on-screen.
The SlimFit Cam, which attaches magnetically and keeps your desk clutter-free, includes Face Tracking and Auto Zoom — ideal for livestreaming and presentations.
Enhanced Comfort and Recognition
For comfort and viewing clarity, the M8 features adaptive picture technology, which automatically adjusts brightness and color temperature based on surroundings. It also includes a height-adjustable stand with tilt functionality.
This innovation hasn’t gone unnoticed — the Smart Monitor M8 received CES Innovation Awards Honoree recognition from the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) for its groundbreaking display features.
