The Samsung Galaxy F56 5G has officially launched in India, succeeding the Galaxy F55 5G. This year, Samsung has made several notable updates to its F series lineup, ranging from design tweaks to a new processor. The Galaxy F56 introduces a fresh set of features, starting with the absence of the vegan leather back panel that made the Galaxy F55 stand out last year. In its place is a redesigned camera bar with grouped sensors, giving the phone a new visual identity. Let’s take a closer look at the upgrades in the Galaxy F56 5G and what elements have stayed the same.
Samsung Galaxy F56 5G: Specifications and features
The Samsung Galaxy F56 5G retains the same 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, but now offers improved peak brightness of 1200 nits—up from the Galaxy F55’s 1000 nits. Samsung has also slimmed down the device, reducing its thickness from 7.8mm to 7.2mm.
In a notable shift, Samsung has replaced the Snapdragon chipset used in previous F series models with its in-house Exynos 1480 processor. The Galaxy F56 5G is equipped with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and offers up to 256GB of internal storage. It also includes a vapor cooling chamber to manage heat more efficiently.
The rear camera setup remains unchanged, featuring a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. However, the front camera sees a downgrade from 50MP to 12MP. The Galaxy F56 5G is powered by the same 5000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. Notably, Samsung is now offering six years of OS updates—an improvement over the five years provided with the previous model.
Samsung Galaxy F56 5G: Price and availability
The Samsung Galaxy F56 5G has been launched at a starting price of ₹27,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, reflecting a ₹1,000 increase over last year’s Galaxy F55.
